04 60 Hudson We Work 60 Hudson Stre et, NYC 120,000 SQF T WeWork 60 Hudson Street is located in the heart of Tribeca in the Western Union Building spanning an entire New York City block. I was assigned to the project due to my home’s close proximity to the site and appreciation for the rich history of Tribeca. Beginning in the 1970s, many artists grew tired of Soho and were drawn to the large lofts in Tribeca, which served as excellent studios. These artists saw the history and architectural value at stake and led the fight to preserve its character. Driven by local cast-iron architecture and the artistic nature of the neighborhood, the design concentrates on a neutral, simplified palette while forming intimate loft-like pockets within the 60,000 SQFT floor plate.

05 Queens Plaza We Work 27 - 01 Ja ckson Ave, LIC NY 31,500 SQF T WeWork Queens Plaza located in Long Island City is the second WeWork location in Queens, NY. Occupying the top two floors of the building, the space was formerly tenanted by MetLife Executives. During my initial site visit, the MetLife President’s corner office was one that evoked potential. It featured a green marble fireplace, an abundance of natural light, high ceilings, and views of Manhattan. The decision was made to keep the integrity of the office layout and program the space as a lounge while implementing WeWork design brand standards. The lounge was designed with multiple furniture groupings giving members a comfortable and quiet place to work outside of their designated office.
