“Lobe and helix piercings never fail in popularity,” Chehade says. “Lately I’ve been doing a fair bit of septum and daith piercings too.” For those not in the know, the daith is a spot in the innermost ear cartilage. Whatever your bent though, aftercare and consideration of the pain, cost and maintenance involved in healing must be taken into consideration.
“With new clients, I usually ask them what they have in mind or what they’ve seen around and liked. Then, I look at the area they want to have pierced and advise on what would suit them as far as placement and jewellery.”
