Inspired by DH and Enduro riding but suitable for all disciplines, featuring an optimized surface of protection, with «in mould» technology. 8 round vents (30mm diameter) are positioned in order to create a Venturi effect. Air flow is regulated by internal channels. The weight of the visor is close to 0 grams and its material is flexible, which helps prevent injuries in the event of a crash. Its design contributes to create the internal Venturi effect by guiding air into the vents. Comfort is guaranteed by soft, removable and washable pads. The frontal pad features a very simple and unique innovation: the «Gangsta pad» Passing just under the mould (around15MM) and being in contact with the air while riding, this part of the pad remains dry and absorbs sweat. There are an increasing number of Enduro, All Mountain or Super D riders worldwide, specific disciplines that require dedicated equipment. The helmet is one of these. We created the Archi Enduro by following the ideas and feelings of some of the best Enduro riders of the planet like Mark Weir, Florian Golay, Théo Gally and Jason Moeschler. The Archi Enduro offers the same protection as our DH helmet, the Down O matic. But the Archi also offers an optimal level of comfort thanks to its reduced weight, high breathability and shorter back, allowing the rider to comfortably wear a backpack. The Archi Enduro is revolution in itself: it is simply the first and the only Enduro-race helmet available on the market. Its reasonable volume and its pure design are reminiscent of the Endur-o-matic. The big vents at the front are round, in order to allow a maximum of fresh air to reach the pilot. The vents are equipped with grids. Proportions, visibility and protection are optimal. The composite fiber construction allows an unmatched weight / protection ratio. The interior is made of super comfortable soft, removable and washable pads. As featured by its little brother, the ABS visor is super light and vented. The helmet is lighter as a result and it also helps prevent injuries in the event of a crash. Its unique design makes the air go into the vents. You’ve heard of Veggie-burgers? At Urge Bikeproducts, we have the Veggie-helmets!!! Some of our models carry this strange name… It is actually both a simple and audacious idea. For our Veggie models, we replace a part of the glass fibre generally used to manufacture full-face helmets by a 100% natural and vegetal fibre: the linen fibre. Linen (Linum usitatissimum) is a plant that produces really pretty blue flowers and grows in fields with low water needs, without fertilizer or chemical products. technical processes and enables us to manufacture fabrics that, once molded a certain way and adding our expert knowledge, have very close characteristics to glass or carbon fabrics. But unlike these two fabrics, the linen fibre is natural, requires low energy to be produced and its waste is compostable with no danger to the environment. Plus, it is non-allergic and is safe for our employees to use. The end result is very eye-catching (from the fields to our helmets), very strong and good for the Earth and human kind. That’s why, even if this fibre is extremely difficult to work with and it costs as much time and money as carbon, we think that it’s the right decision for a better future and we will do our best to use it even more.

«So let’s lead the way to the South Shore, Fred» this is a nice chat, not without a certain sense of humor, between Yvon Chouinard, the wellknown owner of Patagonia and Fred Glo, partner in SSB, during the french 1% meeting in Paris in july 2011.
This year we decided to use recycled PET to manufacture our helmet straps. Why that? Simply to keep following the direction we’re aiming which is to progressively manufacture «clean» helmets. Using recycled PET is another step towards this goal. To produce these straps, our supplier «Recyclepet®» uses old plastic bottles (polyethylene: PET) that are reworked to make, after several operations, a thread... This thread is then weaved according to our technical characteristics to manufacture the straps for our helmets. This fabric is of course tested and passed the strictest certification tests. The other advantage of using recycled PET is to reduce the use of fossil raw materials (petrol) to create new fabrics, but also to valorize waste that usually finish in a bin or too often in the nature... You won’t consider a plastic bottle the same way anymore, will you?
