Cazzy Bio (short) ************ Cazzy The Alien***********************Cazzy is an alien guitarist... one of two surviving aliens from the now infamous UFO crash in Roswell, New Mexico in 1947. Cazzy started his interest in music playing drums and doing percussion. After that he moved onto DJ'ing Vinyl. This was in the 1970's into the 80's before many of today's DJ'z were even born!. In Cazzy wordz..."I waz watching thiz documentary on DJ Frankie Bones DJing in NYC. (Who iz a great DJ and haz way,way more creditz than I)..and I realized....Yeah...I remember DJ'ing in the 70's in New York....and also seeing Madonna at The Fun House..asking the DJ'z to play her stuff...and also remember getting some of the first few rap records...."Sugar Hill Gang" "Kurtis Blow" in brown paper bag. (Az long az you had a letterhead from a club owner zaying you had a rezidency there... IDC - "International Dizco Corporation" would zend you free vinyl promo'z and EP'z.) Anyway, I don't DJ anymore...I guess you could say I went from DJ'ing to being a dancer...(The best I got dancing was second place with a prize of $250 and a bottle of champagne. Some Arthur Murray Dance Studio peepz came up to me and asked if I wanted to teach in their studios...I told them..."No Thank you!") So, Then I went into being a rock and roll singer in a rock band....then I started playing guitar...and came around full circle...playing guitar with DJ'z.....and boy! Am I dizzy!"
After having been a DJ for almost 15 years, Cazzy started singing. He went on to sing in two different rock bandz, "Noyz-R-Us" a Jimi Hendrix cover band, and then "Messiah" and alternative Rock band. Cazzy then moved onto playing guitar. Cazzy toured playing guitar with the late deaf drummer, Shawn Dale Barnett, who played and lived briefly with Alice in Chains' lead singer, Layne Staley. Cazzy is known for selling Jimi Hendrix's guitar strap from the 1969 Woodstock Festival at Sotheby's Rock and Roll memorabilia auction house in New York city. Cazzy had one of his songs included in the Horror film, "The Night Owl", which is part of an indie Horror DVD 4-pack called, "Wicked Intentions" available at Sam Goody,Renco,Best Buy, and Amazon.com. Cazzy went to Orlando, Florida briefly to play music and network. Accidentally, (or maybe not) Cazzy ended up opening one night for Billy Joel's long time drummer, Liberty Devitto and his band "The Funk Club". ("One of the koolezzt, mozt un-egotiztical "ztarz" I've ever met! Hellaziouz drummer too!")
Although he loved the many talented musicians he met in Orlando,Florida, one day he actually
