The top 40 applicants will be invited to Mammel Hall for an interview day held on January 17, 2020. Twenty of those will be selected for the next cohort. The selection committee looks for candidates who demonstrate commitment, passion, character, generosity, initiative, and academic excellence. Any high school senior interested in business is encouraged to apply. In addition to evidence of the above traits, the committee takes into consideration applicants’ high school GPA, class rank, and ACT (or SAT) score.

CALLING FUTURE BUSINESS LEADERS The College of Business Administration Scholars Academy is a community where high-achieving students develop their strengths, challenge their minds, engage with others, and invest in their futures. Within a close-knit community of ambitious and high-achieving students, Scholars challenge themselves while pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. Throughout the four years in the program, Scholars are mentored by professionals in the Omaha community, enroll in special business courses taught by award-winning faculty, and gain real-world experience through community engagement and international travel.
SCHOLARSHIPS The Scholars Academy is possible thanks to generous donors. Through donor gifts, every Scholar receives a minimum $5,000 annual scholarship, awarded over four years, for a total of $20,000. Scholars receive an additional stipend to study abroad.

ELIGIBILITY GUIDELINES Scholars come from diverse backgrounds, bring a variety of strengths, and have a wide range of personalities. While Scholars must be pursuing a degree within the College of Business Administration, their career goals and interests are vast. During the selection process, the committee looks for incoming freshmen who would most likely demonstrate the following traits if chosen: Commitment » CBA Scholars are committed to their educations and put forth their best work in the classroom, challenging themselves while expanding their knowledge.
» They are committed to their futures and make those investments now.
» CBA Scholars are committed to supporting each other and participate enthusiastically in the program. Passion » Passion is giving more than what is required. Different individuals carry their passion differently; sometimes it’s loud, sometimes it’s not. No matter the style, it means going the extra mile.
