Year 7 students visit the SA Museum
of generosity of spirit and engagement during Clipsal week are testimony to this. In particular I wish to acknowledge the following events:

Clipsal Week An excerpt from last Sunday’s First Reading from Genesis 15, Look up to heaven and count the stars if you can, reminded me of an ancient African maxim I heard when visiting on pilgrimage many years ago. I pointed to the stars but all you could see was the tips of my fingers. In Genesis the Lord was reminding Abram of how precious each one of us is in the eyes of our Creator. The African saying reminds us not to take this precious gift of life for granted. I am immensely proud of how we value the individual richness and gifts of staff and students at our College. • Clipsal 500 corporate fundraiser organised by Business and Finance Manager Mr Frank Scali and CBC Property Manager Mr Graham Brink. Thank you to all our parents and friends who volunteered and supported this major College event. • Junior Campus move to the Dom Polski Centre. Thank you to staff and parents who braved the traffic restrictions and who assisted in so many ways to ensure children continued learning throughout Clipsal week. • College retreats which were conducted throughout Adelaide. We sincerely thank all staff and parents who assisted students to reach their venues via public transport. • Other significant events this week included: Christian Service Learning Duke of Edinburgh Camps Year 12 Study Skills Seminars College Athletics trials Meeting of EREA Deputy Principals at CBC Excursions to the Museum and other venues.

Faith Excellence Community Compassion
Immersion Assembly On Tuesday the Year 9 and 11 students participated in two assemblies. Students in Year 11 listened to a student-run presentation on our annual Vietnam and biennial Philippines immersion experiences. I encourage our Year 11 students to consider participation in the pilgrimages which is a life changing experience. The Year 9s listened to a presentation from the Australian Tax Office.
Student News Congratulations to John Martinez who has been selected as 1 of only 15 students state-wide to participate in the Secondary School Sport SA Triathlon Championships in Penrith NSW April 2-5.
Lost property I am aware that there are a number of College blazers, over 20 jumpers and a number of other expensive clothing items currently in Lost Property. If your child has lost an item of uniform please advise him to contact his Tutor Group teacher or Head of House.
