HOW TO SET UP HOW03TO MECHANICSDEVICE Defining the buttons, lights and sounds. APP DOWNLOAD Recommended iOS app but available on Android. APP SET UP Setting up bluetooth connectivity and preferred language of each device.

The button on the side is the volume buttom, it also acts as the power on/off button. You must hold the volume down button for 3 seconds to turn the device on/off.

LIGHT MODE - CHARGING When charging, the 3 mini LEDs will flash and stack up which indicates the current battery status. When the device is fully charged, a green LED will appear.

LIGHT MODE - CONNECTING When connecting, the 3 LEDs will light up one after the other sequentially. Once a bluetooth connection has been made, a green LED will flash.

VOLUME BUTTON

LIGHT MODE - SPEAKING When it is in click-to-talk mode or continuous mode, the device is recording your voice only when the LED is RED.

APP DOWNLOAD HOW05TO Search in the app store and download the Ambassador Interpreter . The device and app works with both iOS and Android. However, we recommended iOS for optimised experience.

APP SET UP HOW06TO BLUETOOTH When you open the app, click on the Add Ambassador device and select the device from the list. You can identify each device with the sticker on the device, it shows the last 4 digits of the device name displayed on the phone.

HOW07TO APP SET UP

LANGUAGE

Select the connected device to view it's settings. Select Language to view the available languages, make sure to select the correct speaking language and dialect of the user. The user is able to select whether they prefer a male or female voice.

HOW08TO APP SET UP LANGUAGE Once the user's chosen language is selected, tap on Confirm . You will then see the updated language choice. You can find out the battery life and volume in the device settings (view previous page for reference).

CONVERSE Converse allows you to have a seamless conversation with someone who speaks a different language.

LECTURE

Listen allows you to listen to a selected language and hear translations. Lecture allows you to present in one language and have it broadcasted in another language.

LISTEN

FEATURES10 FEATURES LISTEN Select the listen feature, and under Listen for select the language the speaker is using.

FEATURES11 FEATURES LECTURE Select the lecture feature, and under Translate to select the language you wish the translations to be broadcasted in. Take note, it is possible to connect your phone to speakers via Bluetooth or cable for this feature.

FEATURES12 FEATURES CONVERSE Select the converse feature, and select all the devices that will be used. You can use up to 4 devices at one time. Please make sure Continuous Translation is selected. Each device should indicate the preferred language of the user.

FEATURES13 FEATURES CONVERSE Select Interlocutors to view the option to turn off continuous mode and enter click-to-talk mode. Click-to-talk mode requires you to push the device to start/stop recording, this is suitable for louder environments. If you are not sure if the device is recording, check if the microphone icon or the device name is red.

FEATURES14 FEATURES INTRO TRANSCRIPT When exiting a feature you have the option to save the transcript of the conversation (view previous page for reference). To find the transcript, hit the top right icon on the app home screen.

15TIPS USEFUL TIPS

• If you have trouble connecting the device, navigate to the phone's bluetooth settings and connect the device through there.

• If the user has attire/accessory restrictions, they can always choose to hold the device over the ear instead of attaching to the ear.

• If you wish to know more about the device, you can enter the app settings through the top left icon.

• If you continue to have trouble, select forget device in the phone's bluetooth settings and reconnect the device through the app.
