Their lives would change forever. Galina and her mother’s home in Ukraine was attacked by Russian forces. Rockets damaged their apartment, so they took shelter in the basement. As food ran out, they bought stale, moldy bread just to survive.

Finally, Galina and her mother were able to flee to Israel. They rented an apartment with a government grant, but they didn’t have much food. Fortunately, Galina met a volunteer working with CBN Israel. Thanks to the support of faithful partners, they received groceries, along with a muchneeded stove and washing machine.

“In our war-torn Ukraine, I could only dream of fresh bread, but now I’m in a peaceful place, and you bring me food,” said Galina. “I’m extremely grateful to you for helping my mother and me.”
