Passive multiplexers

Page 1

Passive Multiplexers Passive Multiplexer units are required to multiplex and demultiplex the various CWDM wavelengths onto a single fiber link.

These units are normally passive in operation (requiring no power) and each specific I/O port will be designated for use with a particular wavelength.

Passive solutions for CWDM or DWDM multi- or demultiplexing processes in fiber optical networks. Available as rack, bare fiber or ABS box solution for an easy and flexible connection to your fiber optic network.

Process of filtering the wavelengths can be performed using Prisms Thin film filter Dichroic filters or interference filters

The filtering materials are used to selectively reflect a single wavelength of light but pass all others transparently. Each filter is tuned for a specific wavelength.
