Its maximum length is 100m and uses Category 5 cable or better. These modules support 10 Megabit, 100 Megabit, and 1000 Megabit (1 Gigabit) auto-negotiation and auto-MDI/MDIX. 1000BASE-SX SFP Known as IEEE802.3z standard made for the laser transceiver which works on short wavelength multimode fiber (850mm). The standard specifies a distance capability between 220 meters (62.5/125 µm fiber) and 550 meters (50/125 µm fiber).
