With a keen interest in science and a fascination with the contrasts between organic matter and metals, he took his fall 2013 collection into another world. Even the invitations came in the form of a petri dish. Mirano’s looks were extremely unique and to set this off was the amazing use of the colors beige and black. Feeding in to the futuristic theme were details like uneven hems and contrasting texture of leather and fur with softer fabrics. The standout look of the collection was definitely a black skirt that was embellished with pieces of meteorites sent to Mirano from South America. As far as being inspired by outer space goes, it doesn’t get much more literal than that.
