CBT Automotive Network was a hotbed of change and growth in 2015, as with the retail automotive industry. As chief operating officer of the company, I’d like to brief you on the most important developments that make CBT the most focused media option available for advertisers needing to reach decision-makers at North American new car dealerships.
2015 Highlights • Our subscription list expanded to over 115,000 retail automotive professionals. • We launched a new platform, Service Drive Today, that offers dealership service directors and managers a daily newscast, the “Weekly Tune-Up With Jeff Cowan” show and a monthly Service Drive Magazine filled with best practices for the service drive. This gives advertisers the industry’s most targeted options for reaching service departments that generate the majority of dealerships’ profits. • Two new weekly shows were added to our Car Biz Today platform: “Kain & Co.,” with industry veteran David Kain’s thought-provoking interviews on improving dealership sales and profitability; and “F&I Today,” on which host Kirk Manzo addresses the critical issues facing dealership finance and insurance offices. • We reengineered our website to make our extensive video and print content more user-friendly, more visually appealing and better archived. • Our offices and studios in Atlanta were significantly expanded, enabling CBT to host more industry thought leaders and improve the production quality of our newscasts and shows.
Looking Ahead As for 2016, the most significant event on the calendar is the Feb. 9-11 CBT Automotive Sales, Service and Marketing Conference & Expo in downtown Atlanta. This event offers dealers and sponsors the most diverse agenda of any conference in the country, including keynote speakers Nick Saban, head football coach at the University of Alabama; noted business leadership author and speaker Patrick Lencioni; millennials expert Jason Dorsey; and Marcus Lemonis, host of CNBC’s reality show for small businesses called “The Profit.” Plus, the retail automotive industry’s top leaders will address dealers and their managers in more than 70 highly topical general and breakout sessions. The conference further cements CBT’s role as the most diversified media company focused on auto dealerships.
