Tighter inventory has led to rising home prices this past year in Arizona, with the state's median home value rising to $254,600 in September, up 5.3% from a year earlier. Phoenix, in particular, has experienced a shortage of inventory for several years now, mainly because of an influx of new residents, many of whom moved from more expensive real estate markets in California. In September, the average home sales price in Phoenix was $265,000, which is 6% higher than last year. Of course, we can’t predict how much longer this seller’s market will last. So, if you’re thinking about selling your home, sooner is certainly better than later.
