It was carefully reconstructed after an elaborate relocation process from overseas and was offi cially dedicated in a well-attended 1971 ceremony. Today, it is a celebrated attraction among those who choose to traverse this unusual piece of history on foot, as well as boaters who anchor in the shadow of the iconic bridge.
