student union FRESHER’S GUIDE 2012 Welcome to the official Student’s Union (SU) Fresher’s Guide. Here you will find out about us and what we have in store during Fresher’s week. We are looking forward to meeting with you at enrolment and are excited to invite you to a week of fun-packed activities taking place between 17th – 21st September. All events will be taking place in the SU’s premier music venue, The Studio, or around the college campus. Take a look at the timetable inside to see what’s on and read up on the amazing offers available. On Monday 17th September, the College will be hosting its annual Fresher’s Fayre. Here you will get the opportunity to meet the Student Support staff, along with many organisations and businesses from around the local area.
We are also running free workshops on a range of subjects from budgeting, essay writing, cooking on a budget, and time management, which you can sign up for on the day. Additionally, you can also find out about the extra funding which is available through Disabled Students Allowances and check out some of the latest assistive technology on the market.
