Artist Bios Lexi Ramos is a comics artist and illustrator who really likes the color purple and anything space related. Instagram: Outraged_Artist

Rain Biddle is a non-binary creator who loves making nerdy art and illustrations. They are currently majoring in 2D animation and minoring in Illustration. Instagram: raininic

Benjamin Britton Durell is an accidental comics artist and an intentional storyteller. He enjoys making comics about sword fighting, mysterious wanderers and his own life. He also thinks worms are super interesting if you just take the time to look down. Instagram: bendurell

Jackalyn Fleming is a sophomore majoring in Comics and Narrative Practice. As someone with a passion for both storytelling and art, she has found comics to be the perfect meeting point of all her varied interests. When not drawing comics she can be found hanging in her room or exploring the city with friends. Instagram: __jackieofalltrades__

Raiden Kubiak is an illustrator, maker, educator, and friend whose works focus on self reflection, self love, and the never ending desire to learn. Their passions include extending queer education to those who may have never gotten it, collaborating with other artists, and laying in the sun. Instagram: spaceraes

Gaile Plantz is an Illustrator, writer, and comics artist based in Columbus Ohio. Gaile loves to make comics with female protagonists expressing their sexuality and dealing with the troubles of life. Instagram: space.lemons

Victoria Sellers is a multidisciplinary illustrator with a love for science fiction, dark humor, nihilism and NintendoŠ brand Gaming Consoles™. They are a third year illustration student, and run the art blog BLACKBIT as a collection of personal work and explorations. Instagram: @JSQK Website: blackbitvisual.com

Kaitlyn White is a freshman at CCAD in the Comics and Narrative Practice Major. She enjoys making action adventure comics that have over arcing plots.

Camille Laret is a Freshman animation major. Her fields of interest are character design, animated movies, and stories and worlds with paranormal and fantasy themes.

Annamae Davis is an Illustration student. She has been interested in art and comics since she was very young, growing up in Dayton Ohio. She is currently working on Terru Void Zerru and plans to pursue other ideas in the future as well. instagram: @anamathon

Khi Ruiz is a Puerto Rican artist living in Ohio. She is currently a sophomore in Comics and Narrative PRactice and is an active member of COCO. She is also an active member of CCAD’s Battle Games Association and is part of leadership of both clubs. When not drawing or going to her extracurricular activities, Khi likes to watch NCIS and various horror movies, and play video games. Instagram: flyingaceartist_khi

Bonnie Gumser is a 19 year old Queer Comics Artist and Illustrator who really enjoys working with color and making pieces look as sparkly as possible! Instagram: sodastrawberry

About COCO COCO

is Columbus COllege of art and Design’s Comics and Narrative Practice Student Collective, founded in 2018. We are dedicated to being an inclusive Group for comic creators and lovers alike. Our goal is to strengthen the community within the comics major and all comics appreciators and casual creators on campus.

Hot COCO

is COCO’s anthology, published once a semester. Work is submitted from contributors all across CCAD campus. Hot COCO exists as an opportunity for the comics work of our students to be distributed and read by many!
