Financial Solvency CCAR’s financial position is sound and has the association well positioned for the future. We received an unqualified “clean” opinion on our financial statements as stated in the 2022 Smith Sapp CPA Firm audit letter. Leadership has allocated sufficient reserves to fund the future needs of the association. Conservative management and oversight of the budget avoided an increase in 2024 REALTOR® dues. We strive to stretch every dollar to offer the best programs, products and services for you the member, keeping you relevant in today’s vibrant real estate industry.
Market Strength In 2023, mortgage rates reached a two-decade peak, creating a notable shift in the real estate landscape. Despite the persistent scarcity of housing inventory, 2023 ended with a year-over-year 5% inventory increase. Notably, home prices are experiencing a gradual ascent, yet in a controlled manner. Unlike the rapid escalation observed during the pandemic, the 2023 market demonstrated a higher level of stability. Despite prevailing prices and higher mortgage rates, the market has attracted a substantial number of buyers, ensuring a robust and sustained level of activity in the housing sector.
Total Volume Sold volume fell in 2023 from the prior year, but the listing count was slightly higher. Total listing volume was slightly less than 2022.
