Vision: The Coastal Carolinas Association of REALTORS® is the primary real estate resource for members and community.
Mission: The Coastal Carolinas Association of REALTORS® mission is to provide its members with programs and services which enhance the member’s ability to successfully conduct business in a professional manner, promote cooperation among its members, advocate the public’s right to use and transfer real property and support a spirit of community service.
In the last few years, the real estate industry has certainly seen some challenging times, but now it appears that we are about to turn the corner. Our most recent 2013 market report shows that sales keep going up from momentum that began in 2012 and inventories are going back to reasonable levels. In 2013, we will continue to monitor the condo market which is slowly beginning to make a comeback. We will also want to see home sale prices become more robust as the year progresses. All signs so far suggest that they will continue to rise.

Part of the mission of CCAR is to be the voice of real estate, and we are committed to continuing to be your voice in the halls of government.
Government Affairs
CCAR continues to closely monitor all federal, state and local legislation that affects the real estate industry. In 2012 we accomplished getting a ban on private transfer taxes. Our goal in 2013 is to continue working on Mortgage Interest Deduction, especially for second homes, legislation to regulate HOAs and making deeds and other documents free and accessible to the public.

RAFT was established by the Coastal Carolinas Association of REALTORS速 in 2010 to help REALTORS速 and Affiliates The fund managed through the Waccamaw Community Foundation. RAFT currently receives funds from private donations and a percentage of the proceeds from the Mark Sloan Cancer Memorial Golf Tournament.
