About Central Carolina Community Foundation Midlands Gives is presented by Central Carolina Community Foundation. Central Carolina Community Foundation, the Midlands’ expert on philanthropy, is a nonprofit organization that links charitable people and businesses with areas of need in the Midlands. The Foundation is made up of more than 400 funds created by individuals, families, businesses and nonprofits who care about our Midlands region.

• We inspire local giving through initiatives such as Midlands Gives.

• We support nonprofits across the Midlands and beyond. Each year, the Foundation and our fundholders distribute an average of 1, 175 grants totaling more than $10 million to nonprofit organizations.

The money is pooled and invested for maximum growth and impact.

Regional Endowment Bonus Pools

Join Us At Headquarters Central Carolina Community Foundation is partnering with the Columbia Fireflies to house the 2016 Midlands Gives headquarters at the brand new Spirit Communications Park! The community and all participating nonprofits are invited to join us at the new ballpark on May 3rd for a day-long rally of giving. Activities

will include games and contests for nonprofits and community supporters, activities for kids and families, concessions and entertainment sessions. Central Carolina Community Foundation’s regional affiliate organizations are sponsoring bonus pools for the areas they serve. Look for the affiliate symbols in the nonprofit listings to see which organizations are eligible.

Community Foundation for Orangeburg and Calhoun Counties is sponsoring a $10,000 bonus pool for Orangeburg and Calhoun County nonprofits. Eligible organizations will receive a proportional share of the $10,000 bonus pool based on the amount raised by the nonprofit.

Kershaw County Endowment is sponsoring a $2,500 bonus pool for nonprofit organizations in Kershaw County. Prizes will be awarded to eligible organizations according to who has the most unique donors.

The RAM Foundation is concerned with the academic, social, civic and wellness needs of the under served youth and their families in the city of Columbia, South Carolina.

Our organization’s mission is to educate, inspire, engage and connect with youths to learn about the criminal justice and educational systems to develop future leaders.

FAQ’s Q: What is Midlands Gives? A: Hosted by Central Carolina Community

Foundation, Midlands Gives is a 24-hour online giving event that brings the region together as one community, raising money and awareness for local nonprofits in 11 Midlands counties. This year’s event is happening on May 3, 2016 from midnight to 11:59 pm.

Q: How do I donate? A: To participate, simply log on to

MidlandsGives.org on May 3, complete the giving form, select your charity or charities, and make a donation using your credit or debit card ($20 minimum).

Q: Who is impacted by Midlands Gives? A: You. Your local hospital, your child’s

activities, your museum, and your pet shelters are all impacted by this event. Our lives would be very different without nonprofit organizations. Midlands Gives not only raises money for these organizations to carry out their missions but also helps them to deepen their relationship with you. All participating organizations are headquartered in your backyard, the Midlands.

Q: Where does my donation go? A: The nonprofit(s) you select receive 100%

of your donation minus credit card and processing fees. Central Carolina Community Foundation and generous sponsors underwrite all costs associated with the event. The Foundation does not take a percentage fee from Midlands Gives — it’s one of our ways of giving back.

Q: How do I know my information is safe? A: Central Carolina Community Foundation

has partnered with KIMBIA to provide a secure online donation platform. All donations made using KIMBIA’s donation forms use industry-leading Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) technology to protect donor information and provide a safe and secure environment for online donors.
