Business Administration The Associate Degree in Business Administration provides instruction in basic business administration competencies. You will be trained on computer skills and software applications necessary to succeed in a business environment. The Associates Degree is designed to provide a foundation that will enable you to seek and apply for management roles in your area of specialty. Additionally, as a graduate, you could use your knowledge and leadership abilities to address a wide variety of issues in your specialty as well as broader public issues.

Excellent job opportunities are expected for students with two year business degrees. Many small companies are emerging and will need well-trained administrative support. Individuals in entry level positions in the business sector occupied about 4.1 million jobs, standing as one of the biggest careers in the U.S. workforce. The position of the office professional has greatly developed as technology continues to be relied upon in most businesses throughout the country. A wide range of duties that were once given to managerial and professional staff are now delegated to entry level administrative positions, due to office automation and organizational restructuring.

Working Conditions Business Administration graduates usually work in well-lit, clean environments. The hours are generally weekdays.
Physical Requirements Physical requirements can vary from sedentary to heavy activity depending upon what type of duties the Business Administrator is performing. Hearing If hearing impaired, must possess reasonable alternative communication skills. Speech Must demonstrate ability to functionally express self orally and/or in writing.

Degree Program
Students who wish to further their education beyond the diploma program have the option of attending CCC’s Associates of Occupational Science Degree Program. The degree program is designed to provide a foundation that will enable degree holders to seek and apply for management roles in their specialties.
