Making Breakfast

What You Need: Play-Doh® or similar

What You Do:

Invite your child to “make” breakfast out of Play-Doh® with you and spend time “making” some of your favorite breakfast foods together.

While you are playing, say, “Think about what you like to eat for breakfast. You could make bacon and eggs, a bowl of cereal, or anything you like! Let’s get cooking! (Pause.) Wow! Your breakfast looks super yummy! Now let’s pretend to eat our breakfast. (Pause.) You are a super-good cook! You did a great job!”

“In our Bible story today, we heard about Jesus cooking and eating breakfast with His friends, the disciples, at the beach. Jesus came back just like He said He would! Jesus wanted to show His friends that He is alive and would be their friend forever and ever. Who is alive? Jesus is alive!”
