Because God’s plan is for parents to be the primary spiritual nurturers of their children’s faith, we want YOU to be the one to introduce this part of The Big God Story to them. For additional support in spiritual parenting and to learn more about creating transforming environments in your home, be sure to pick up HomeFront: A Spiritual Parenting Resource from your church or download at HomeFrontMag.com. You can also access the HomeFront app for your iPhone, iPad, or Android device.

• A prophet is someone who shares God’s message with His people. • A priest is someone called by God to intercede between God and man, overseeing offerings and sacrifices for sin. • A king is someone appointed by God to rule over and protect His chosen people. • Jesus, who is fully God and fully man, was a prophet who shared God’s message with the world, a priest because He sacrificed Himself for our sin, and a king who reigns in the hearts of all who believe.

Remember Verse for the environment of FAITH COMMUNITY For to us a child is born, to us a son is given … And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Isaiah 9:6

Your child will thrive when he has your undivided attention. Make sure to set other things aside whenever possible to be fully present with your child.

Older Kids Your child will benefit from multigenerational relationships. Encourage her to spend time with grandparents, aunts, and uncles.

Teachable Moments After reading Scripture, discuss the following together: • Who were some of Jesus’ ancestors? • What did the angel say to Joseph? • How did Jesus’ birth bring hope into the world?
