Friendships are becoming increasingly more important to your child. Encourage her to choose friends wisely.
• Though we don’t know much about the Magi, it’s clear that they were a group of men who put their trust in the signs and wonders of the one true God. • It took the wise men many months to make their journey to find Jesus.
Older Kids
• Scripture tells us the star the wise men followed moved as the men traveled. Each movement of the star brought them closer to their anticipated destination. • When the wise men found Jesus, they gave Him gifts and worshipped Him.
Remember Verse for the environment of COURSE CORRECTION
Your child may experience extremes in emotion and may revert to childish behavior when stressed. Be patient during times of course correction to avoid unnecessarily escalating his emotions.
Teachable Moments
No discipline seems pleasant at the time, but painful. Later on, however, it produces a harvest of righteousness and peace for those who have been trained by it. Hebrews 12:11
After reading Scripture, discuss the following together: • Why did the wise men travel such a long way? • How do you think the men felt after traveling so far? • What are some ways we can recognize Jesus as King of our lives?
