Did You Know?
This resource is designed to allow your family to have time in God’s Word BEFORE your children attend church. Because God’s plan is for parents to be the primary spiritual nurturers of their children’s faith, we want YOU to be the one to introduce this part of The Big God Story to them.
• The temple in first-century Jerusalem was divided into sections. Social status determined how far into the temple one could go.

Your younger child may enjoy hearing the same portions of The Big God Story several times. As they grow more familiar with their favorite Bible passages, ask them to recount the narratives to you rather than you telling the narratives to them.
Older Kids
• The only section of the temple that the crippled man had ever been in was Solomon’s portico. • This man grew up his entire life wanting to enter the temple and was never allowed to. Now that he was no longer crippled, he was allowed to enter.
Remember Verse for the environment of STORYTELLING
Your older child is capable of complex thought and can understand how her own story weaves into The Big God Story. Encourage her to write down her story and share it with friends.
Teachable Moments
He provided redemption for his people; he ordained his covenant forever—holy and awesome is his name. Psalm 111:9
After reading Acts 3:1–10, discuss the following together: • How did God use Peter in the beggar’s life? • How did God use the beggar’s healing to bring people to Him? • How does God use people today?
