Place From sight to sound to smell, India is a land that will open your senses. The India Studies Program (ISP), in partnership with the Bishop Appasamy College of Arts and Sciences (BACAS), brings you to one of India’s most fascinating cities: Coimbatore. Home to over 2 million people, Coimbatore is a bustling metropolis of business, culture and Indian tradition. On your first night, you’ll dine on dosa (Indian crepes) and discuss the vibrant colors of the local tailor’s store, the rickshaws of public transportation, and certainly what you’re looking forward to most in the next 14 life-changing weeks.

Program So you want to experience India, but Indian literature or business sounds as much of a world away as the country itself? Not to worry. ISP will take you through two core courses that provide a breadth of knowledge about India’s culture, society and challenges, as well as her vast religious landscape. At the same time, you will build upon this knowledge as you participate in your three elective courses, each one taught by BACAS faculty. Place You’re walking down cobblestone streets between centuries-old buildings that have produced some of the greatest minds in history. Legendary spires are silhouetted by the sun. Your first tutorial with an Oxford academic is just footsteps away. In your month-long Oxford Summer Programme (OSP), you’ll journey to astonishing places. With all that could ignite your intellectual imagination, nothing will compare to the vast collection of scholarly resources available to you. Dine, laugh and study among your Oxonian peers and tutors in the “city of the dreaming spires.”

Program Designed to uncover the relationship between Christianity and the British Isles, OSP fuels intellectual minds at all levels of education. As the plane begins to make its final approach to Reagan National, you’re given your first tour of our nation’s capital. From the airport, hop on the Metro, ride over the Potomac and into Eastern Market— the oldest farmers’ market in the D.C. area— bustling with activity. Before you can text your friend a pic of the street artists, you’ve arrived at the American Studies Program (ASP) living and learning facility in D.C.’s quaint Capitol Hill neighborhood. You’re now 25 blocks from where the President puts on his shoes and just eight blocks from the Capitol building.

Program At ASP, your ability to share your similarities while respecting your differences may just be the one test you never knew you’d be taking. Whether it’s public policy or global development, you will engage in what it means to be in community and to be a leader. These questions have shaped our political system for over two centuries. We are deeply grateful for the profound impact of our Christian colleges and universities in the minds, hearts, and futures of students, families, and communities. Through our BestSemester programs, the Council for Christian Colleges & Universities (CCCU) partners with our colleges and universities in the exciting calling of shaping and strengthening a Christian worldview for students. For nearly 40 years, we have honed these BestSemester programs into truly outstanding offerings. We are so excited to present this year’s CCCU BestSemester curriculum—12 unique programs in eight countries and on five continents. These off-campus and study abroad experiential programs provide for our colleges remarkable economies of scale and best practices, making them excellent, effective, affordable, and safe opportunities. While situated in different cultures, countries and continents, each program shares the demonstrated ability to strengthen, stretch, and put into practice the Christian worldviews taught at each of our Christian colleges and universities. As CCCU President, I enthusiastically endorse these rigorous programs integrating academic excellence and biblical truth. I confess that if I were a student again, I would leap at the opportunity to study through any one of these great programs. But that privilege goes to a new generation of students interested in exploring, examining, and experiencing God’s great world.
