trains students to serve in various aspects of the film industry with professional skill and Christian integrity. The curriculum consists of two required seminars: Hollywood Production Workshop (HPW) and Theology in Hollywood. HPW encourages the crucial skill of collaborative filmmaking by students’ creation of festival-ready films that culminate in a Hollywood screening. Theology in Hollywood explores the relationship of faith to work in this very influential industry and thinking theologically and critically about film. In addition, students choose one elective course in either production or screenwriting. Internships in various segments of the film industry provide students with hands-on experience. The combination of these courses allows students to explore the film industry within a Christian context and from a liberal arts perspective. The program recommends that students be granted the equivalent of 16 hours of credit by their home institution.
