Piccioli not only gave us refrences from bosch’s painting, but also 15th century fashion, with a chic, and modern approach. The garments were draped, and jeweled in hand embroidered plant, and animal motifs. Full of ruffled layers, and precise pleats, similar sihlouettes leaving no detail untouched. Complimented with luxurious fabrics, and a modern approach. The best part about the collection was not only staying true to the valentino signature of having incorporated the red gowns, but the functionality of each garment. by incorporating more jackets, and pants, garments with little to no embellishment it makes the garment functional, relatable, and chic. If i could walk around in Valentino day dresses all year I absolutely would, but knowing that I have the option of toning down the collection makes me more eager to purchase.
