adjective 1. not obtrusive; inconspicuous, unassertive, or reticent.
unobtrusive
Autumn/Winter 19-20 begins by embracing subtle displays of wealth, that come along with a newer generation of consumers. As purchases remain identifiers for the millennial generation, we will witness a shift in consumerism that reflects their current values. Concepts of slow fashion, slow living, minimalism, and ethical consumerism all assist in unobtrusive displays of taste. Unlike their parents, the millennial consumer considers every purchase the opportunity to either gain knowledge or make an impact. Personal ethics present themselves as determining factors for every transaction, with fresh curiosity and the purchasing power to make a difference transparency, quality, and craftsmanship remain at the forefront of consumers minds. In order to conserve this consumer, company missions and ethics must follow suit. Brands like Everlane, Patagonia, and Stella McCartney are persisting the push for sustainability, quality, transparency, and ethics. While newcomers like Sandy Leong, and Brother Vellies, are paving new roads that lead to untapped markets, skills, and cultures. Lifestyle magazine Kinfolk has always embraced the importance of slow living, and mindfulness, while The Citizenry is bridging consumers with the artisans behind the products they are purchasing. Unobtrusive taste advances far beyond consumerism, into education, investments, and connections, to essentially sum up the quality of life. 4

intentional
[in-ten-shuh-nl]
adjective done with intention or on purpose; intended Intentional vibrations takes you on a spiritual journey through your own abilities, as the Autumn/ Winter season comes to a close. Every human possesses four energy levels: emotional, mental, physical, and spiritual, that host individual frequencies and works together for an overall vibration. Knowing how to supplement those frequencies is imperative to advancing into a new year, awareness of personal energy levels invites intentional transformation to occur. Practicing values of gratitude, forgiveness, and acceptance help counteract resentment, guilt, and anger. When you are living with intent there is a level of mindfulness, and presence that abides within. Intentional vibration goes far beyond meditation, and journaling but also lends itself to nutrition and physical wellness. Everything you ingest plays a role in the energy you transfer, and attract even the consciousness of your thoughts. Millennials seem to be the generation seeking spiritual, and holistic freedom and health. Rises in veganism, solo travel, attendance of wellness retreats, and spiritual pursuit display the generations focus on discovering their purpose. Brands like Lululemon and Free People who pride themselves on creating a lifestyle for their consumers have retreats that are all about moving, gathering, and connecting intentionally.
