Jack and Jill Palm Beach Family Members, we are at the end of another great year of working, living and playing as Jack and Jill family! We navigated all the stops, starts and detours with ease and we have much to be proud of! Moms on a Mission, Moving in Excellence was the theme for our annual retreat; we knew the year would require next-level focus and engagement to execute our inaugural beautillion cotillion while providing amazing programming Palm Beach Chapter moms embraced the charge and executed flawlessly!

We kicked off the year with an impactful black history scavenger hunt for Jack and Jill Day Our holiday party was one for the record books; Trunks and Treats allowed us to celebrate the holidays in a safe, fun and creative way. Throughout the year, the grade groups hosted engaging ‘If not for Jack and Jill’ programming activities. Our year end event, Black Family Day, will take place at Drive Shack with a ParTee celebrating our graduating teens and moms.

In addition to providing stellar programming, we were intentional about nurturing ourselves We enjoyed several adult programming events this year: from our picnic style vision board gathering to the food tour in Delray Beach, there were several opportunities to connect as mothers We were encouraged to focus on our overall health We had guest speakers present to us about breast cancer awareness and overall health advocacy, the importance of heart health, considerations of estate planning and the alternatives for financing college. Sister Mom Month was jam packed with opportunities for us to recharge and refuel.

We increased our community presence through social media and we had a lot of great things to share. As a chapter, we donated items to aid the survivors of earthquakes in Haiti and prepared and donated lunches and hygiene kits to St George’s Center for our Martin Luther King, Jr Day of service event Our Teddy Bear Palms donated to local food banks while the Majestic Palms participated in a Habitat for Humanity event From hosting workshops to securing sponsors, all moms have been dedicated to ensuring that our inaugural Beautillion Cotillion will be a raging success

As I reflect on this year, my heart is filled with pride and gratitude. I am grateful for each member of each family represented in JJPBC. I’m grateful for the engagement and commitment from each of our moms to make this chapter the premier organization that it is today. I am grateful for the opportunity to serve as President of this esteemed chapter, and I am most grateful that the Palm Beach Chapter of Jack and Jill of America is thriving and poised to accomplish great things in the future!!

May God continue to bless the Palm Beach Chapter of Jack and Jill!

Sincerely

CP Lakiesha
