BEHIND THE WIRE

Cowra Breakout /Cowra POW CAMP

Cowra is a rural-based township in the NSW central west approximately four hours west of Sydney. The Shire completed a history of the district in 1988 titled Cowra on the Lachlan. This publication was a series of essays contributed by local authors on local history, sports, community groups, villages, churches, and local government.

Cowra Council offers excellent career opportunities across a large range of professions and trades.

Cowra Council is now requesting quotes to appoint a Managing Editor to undertake the management and oversight of the Cowra History Book 1988-2018. This project aims not to revise or update Cowra on the Lachlan, but to complement it with a new work that will cover the economic, social, cultural and physical changes to Cowra in the last 30 years.

We offer diverse employment options which could include a position for you that suits your interests, lifestyle and career goals. Current Vacancies

Cowra Council is seeking to contract a Managing Editor to research, compile, write, oversight, edit, and publish this new edition as a hard-copy book and in an electronic book form.
