COUNCIL AT WORK - AIRPORT WORKS NOW TAKING SHAPE

Recent construction at Cowra Airport will service the new subdivision at the local facility. The work includes construction of a pre-cast sewer pump station tank that will cater for sewer flows from the development as well as future flows from parts of West Cowra currently not serviced by Cowra’s sewerage system. The construction work was recently completed by Council’s Roads Construction staff as part of the larger redevelopment providing 17 fully-serviced lots with water, power, sewer, and NBN fibre-to-the-premises with no landing fees (under seven tonnes maximum take-off weight). Sites are still available for private operators and business enterprises with the remaining lots being offered for sale at list-pricing through private treaty. For more information, go to: cowraairport.com.au or contact Cowra Council Business Officer, Ponie de Wet, on 6340 2038, mob 0407 234 497, email:pdewet@cowra.nsw.gov.au

RECYCLING MATTERS Handy hints from your Tidy Towns Committee REDUCE, REUSE, RECYCLE Plastic bags can be taken to your supermarket for recycling, or bring 25 to Cowra Council to swap for a re-usable bag! Never wrap your recycling in a plastic bag — for safety and time reasons, staff at the MRF can’t open them, so your recycling will likely end-up in landfill.
