COUNCIL AT WORK — MAJOR MAINTENANCE ON DARBYS FALLS RD Cowra Council road crews are currently undertaking heavy patching Pavement maintenance works on Darbys Falls Road. The works also involve contractors using heavy earth-moving equipment including a pulveriser that mixes the stabilising agent into the existing pavement to a depth of about 20cm. The mixed material is then compacted, trimmed,
and bitumen-sealed. Motorists are asked to take care when travelling through these and all roadwork worksites and to observe temporary speed restrictions at all times.

Council is calling for Expressions of Interest for a Festival Coordinator to undertake the development and delivery of the Cowra Festival of International Understanding in 2019, 2020 and 2021 in conjunction with Council. The Festival is the premier annual festival in Cowra and showcases the culture of a different Guest Nation each year. It incorporates exhibitions, a Festival Parade, a Festival Carnival and various civic and community based functions. Council is seeking to ensure that this significant event is afforded the focus that it requires. The Festival Coordinator will work as part of a team and report directly to the General Manager. WARNING TO COWRA RESIDENTS: PERSONS PRETENDING TO BE COUNCIL OFFICERS Cowra Council has been informed that residents have been approached in the past two days by persons impersonating Council officers and demanding money. This matter has been reported to Cowra Police and any residents that are approached should also report the matter. Cowra Council officers will never approach ratepayers and demand cash payments for any services. Please act safely.
Woodstock Rates Payment Location Change
Woodstock ratepayers should note that the location for all Cowra Council rates notices and other payments should now be made at the office of JJ Dresser & Co.
