COWRA COUNCIL

NOTICEBOARD Work starts this month to connect Brisbane St and Brisbane Ave

Cowra Council — as contractor to John Holland Group — will be undertaking road works to connect Brisbane Street to Brisbane Avenue (see right). The work is being completed for Transport for New South Wales through John Holland Rail’s Country Regional Network (CRN) contract. Works are planned to start in mid-February and are expected to take 6–8 weeks to complete. Work will include drainage, kerb and gutter, a new footpath, and relocation of a water main and “stay pole” for electricity. Access to private residences/properties will not be affected by the work. To facilitate the work there will, however, be no through-traffic to Argoon Street from Brisbane Street. Residents and motorists are also advised that there may be minor disruptions to traffic during this time. REGIONAL TOUR Council will have traffic control measures in place during the work and all temporary signage and traffic control measures should be followed. Council apologises for the inconvenience this project will cause while this important work is undertaken. For more information or questions about the project, call Cowra Council Infrastructure and Operations on 6340 2070.
