Those wishing to hire Cowra’s Civic Centre in Darling St must do so using the Cowra Civic Centre Application Form which is available at Council’s Customer Service Centre at 116 Kendal St or online at Cowra’s website: cowracouncil.com.au under Council Forms.The completed booking form must be either mailed or delivered to Council’s Customer Service Centre together with a booking deposit and Certificate of Insurance Currency. Road Naming Proposal Notice is hereby given that Cowra Shire Council, as Consent Authority under the Roads Act 1993, is proposing to name the section of road that intersects with Chardonnay Road, and extends southbound in a direction that is parallel to Chardonnay Lane. Details of the road naming proposal have been set out in Schedule 1 below. Cowra Shire Council is the Road Naming Authority. The plans relating to the road naming proposal to which this notice refers may be viewed at Cowra Shire Council’s Customer Service Centre, 116 Kendal Street, Cowra between 8.30am and 4.30pm Monday to Friday (Public Holidays excepted) or on Council’s website www.cowracouncil.com.au Any person may make a written submission to Cowra Shire Council about the proposed road renaming before 4.30pm on 16 June 2017. Written submissions should be addressed to The General Manager, Cowra Shire Council, Private Bag 342, Cowra NSW 2794. To assist Council, please include the reference to the road naming proposal with the written submission. The content of written submissions may be included in a report to Council. Mains replacement in Fitzroy Street Cowra Council has commenced water main replacement works in Fitzroy Street, Cowra (between Brougham and Argoon Streets) for three weeks. Access to private residences/properties will be maintained wherever possible during works, and it is recommended that vehicles are not parked on the street. Council apologises for the inconvenience this project may cause while this important work is undertaken. For more information, call Cowra Council Infrastructure and Operations on 6340 2070.

Cowra Council’s Draft Delivery Program 2017/2018 to 2020/2021 and Operational Plan 2017-2018, including the Long Term Financial Plan 2017/2018 to 2026/2027 are now on public exhibition and Council is inviting public comment until Friday 9 June 2017. Cowra Council’s Draft Disability Inclusion Action Plan is now on public exhibition until Tuesday, June 20. Council is inviting the public to comment on the Draft Plan with copies on public display in the foyer of Cowra Shire Council, 116 Kendal Street Cowra during office hours and is also available to download via the “Public Exhibition” page of Council’s website at: cowracouncil.com.au Copies are also available for viewing at Cowra Library. “Virtual Museum” Working Party
Expressions of Interest are invited from interested individuals for three community member positions on the Cowra Council Virtual Museum Working Party. This will be a voluntary role for approximately one year. Over the next 12 months Council, through the Virtual Museum Working Party, will be investigating the feasibility of establishing a virtual museum for Cowra. The Working Party will investigate and report on the proposal to develop a Virtual Museum to ‘Tell Cowra’s Story’. Expressions of Interest are open until 4pm, Friday 16 June.
