Cabin Refurbishment Cowra Van Park

Cowra Shire Council is seeking Quotations for Refurbishment of four cabins at Cowra Van Park. Details are available at the customer service area in Council Administration office 116 Kendal Street Cowra. Major works to close Busby Place Car Park Cowra Council will be undertaking important repair work on the upper level of Busby Place Car Park requiring temporary closure of the carpark this weekend.

This work to the existing box drains at the car park will require closure of the upper levels of the facility to shoppers from 6am on Saturday, May 20 until 7am on Monday May 22. A Variable Message Sign (VMS) Board at the site will also notify residents of the closure. For more information, contact Cowra Council’s Infrastructure and Operations Department on 6340 2070. Have say on Council’s planning for the future

Cowra Council’s Draft Delivery Program 2017/2018 to 2020/2021 and Operational Plan 2017-2018, including the Long Term Financial Plan 2017/2018 to 2026/2027 are now on public exhibition and Council is inviting public comment until Friday 9 June 2017. Copies are on public display in the foyer of Cowra Shire Council, 116 Kendal Street Cowra during office hours. Copies are also available for viewing at the Cowra Saleyards, Cowra Library, Materials Recycling Facility and Council’s Depot or download copy at: https://tinyurl.com/kk22nfd. All submissions regarding the Draft Delivery Program and Operational Plan must be made in writing to the General Manager, Cowra Shire Council, Private Bag 342, Cowra 2794 or via email to council@cowra.nsw.gov.au by 4pm, Friday 9 June 2017.

Survey on Cowra’s koalas

Koala researchers John Callaghan and Maria Matthes were recently engaged by Cowra Council to undertake a preliminary koala survey in the Shire area. The koala researchers will be trying to locate koalas and koala scats under likely preferred koala food trees.
