Dear Parents, Festival of International Understanding What a fabulous week we have had in Cowra. The Festival of International Understanding, with Tonga as the host country, has been really magical. We have put our beautiful Tongan art work on display, performed at the Opening Ceremony on Friday night and also marched in the parade with our wonderful float. There were so many terrific celebrations where Mulyan was able to proudly participate. Congratulations to all teachers, students, parents and community members for your dedicated efforts during the Festival. Well done, team Mulligrubbers! Cricket Congratulations to Mr Ryan and his boys’ cricket team. They played Orange PS on Thursday and had a convincing win. Orange PS scored all out for 58. Our boys came out and scored 59 with only 3 fallen wickets. Our next game will be between either Molong or Cudal PS. We look forward to the next game! SRC Crazy Hair Day On Friday, the SRC hosted a crazy hair day and sold cupcakes to raise money for the Leukemia Foundation. They were supporting Bianca Riggio from CARINYA who also shaved her head for this worthwhile charity. Our SRC were able to donate a healthy $200 towards Bianca’s efforts. A smashing effort, Mulyan. SRC Crazy Hair Day
Mulyan Cricket News
Crazy Hair Day for primary students was held Friday,11th March. The students were certainly a weird and wonderful group with very strange “hair dos”
The SRC committee decided to donate money raised on the Crazy Hair Day to Bianca Riggio. Bianca is raising money for the Leukaemia Foundation and the SRC handed Bianca a cheque for $200. Last Thursday, Mulyan’s Boys’ Cricket team were victorious over Canobolas Public School. Electing to bat, after winning the toss, the Orange boys demonstrated some big hitting skills but the accuracy of bowling from our boys, especially Leroy Murray with three quick wickets, restricted the opposition to a total of 58 runs. Our boys methodically set about the run chase and, especially supported by some big hitting by Rohan Wilson, were able to overhaul their score. This was a big effort especially by a young team. Thank you to our travelling parents & Mrs Reid for scoring
