MULYAN PUBLIC SCHOOL NEWSLETTER WEEK 1 TERM 4 Wednesday 8th October 2014 Dear Parents, Welcome back. I hope you and your family have had a relaxing and enjoyable break. While Mr Smith is on leave I am Relieving Principal, so please don’t hesitate to contact me if required. Miss O’Malley will be teaching

5/6K for the next 2 weeks while Mrs Statham is on leave. Mrs Brown will be teaching Kinder Purple, Miss Sims will be teaching 1/2M and Mrs Nottingham will be teaching 3J for the week as the class teachers are on leave. Congratulations to the students who attended the State Dance Festival in the last week of last term. These 21 children were given an amazing opportunity to perform on the “big stage” at the Seymour Theatre. Professional lighting and sound and a crowded theatre - what an awesome and memorable experience. On all reports the students represented Mulyan brilliantly and we are very proud of them. A huge thanks to Mrs Alison Buckley who choreographed their item and trained and worked with the children every week. Thanks to Mrs Beale and Mrs Apps who accompanied the children to Sydney and to Mrs Statham and Mrs Baratto who were also involved in the preparation stage. We have a couple of exciting events to look forward to this term:#

P&C major fundraiser “The Spring Fair”. This is on Friday, 14th November. You have been asked to contribute items to your child’s class basket for the Prize Wheel, as well as the class stall being co -ordinated by your class. Parent co-ordinators will be looking for volunteers to help at these stalls on the night and, of course, we are hoping your family and friends will come to the Spring Fair and enjoy the fun. All the monies realised go towards purchasing much needed resources for our school.

Stage 3 excursion to Sydney 5th November - 7th November. Please pay any monies owing.
