We are in danger of losing our P&C due to not having a President or Secretary. Without these positions being filled, the P&C cannot be formed.

Hockey Gala Day Boys’ Cricket round 2 & 3 games Young Leaders’ Day Cowra Festival Lots of our students have been involved in many of these events and have gained a great deal from their experience. As well as all of the above lots of great teaching and learning have taken place in each and every classroom. Sport Our school tennis team played their second round match on Monday against West Wyalong Public School. Our team played particularly well but unfortunately were beaten by a well-drilled team. Injuries and unavailability of a couple of players due to other commitments didn’t help. Congratulations to our players who really showed great skills and sportsmanship.

Last Friday, four Mulyan boys travelled to Parkes to try out for the Western AFL team. Three were successful in gaining selection in the team. Congratulations to Braydon Hyland, Jayden Williams and Blake Sandry. Our fourth student was Cooper Ballard and as he is only in Year 4 there will be plenty of other opportunities for Cooper to represent. Today and tomorrow, Zoe Browne and Mackenzie Crook are in Sydney at the Olympic Swimming Pool representing Western at the State Swimming Carnival. A marvellous achieved girls and we look forward to hearing how they went. On Monday, 7 of our students travelled to Dubbo to take part in the Western trials for both the Open and Under 11’s Rugby League team. All our boys played well and are to be congratulated for the sportsmanship and attitude. They were a credit to themselves and our school. Jayden Williams was successful and will now represent Western in the Open Rugby League team at the State Carnival later this year.
children. Well done also to the SRC for the wonderful Easter Egg Hunt. It is a lovely way to end the term. Rewards Day Tomorrow is our Rewards Day for Term 1. All students who have NOT received an incident slip this term are eligible for the Rewards Day. All children are able to wear mufti as well as receiving an icecream as a reward. Thank you everyone for your wonderful support of our school, your friendship and care. Without the support of parents and carers, we would not be able to do many of the wonderful things that we do for our students. I hope that everyone has a very relaxing and enjoyable holiday and wonderful Easter and come back to school on the 27th April, recharged and ready for a very big term.

ANZAC Day This year, the ANZAC Day commemorations will be held on Tuesday, 25th April (the last day of the school holidays). As normal, our school will once again be represented in the march and the service that follows it. We are inviting all students to meet us outside the Brisbane St entrance of the Cowra ExServices Club at 10am for the march commencing at 10.30am. The march will proceed to River Park for the service and students can be picked up from here. Students who are joining us need to wear full school winter uniform. We hope that many students are able to join us. Easter Hat Parade Congratulations to all the Infants children and their parents for their wonderful creations for the Easter Hat Parade. They were all fabulous, creative and colourful. Thank you also to all those parents who came to view our parade and support the

Tennis Report Thank you to all students who participated in this year’s Tennis competition. The students learnt a lot about the game of tennis, how to serve, ball placement and scoring. The more the students played, the more confident they became. Thank you to Angela Shingles for her assistance with transport and Helen Garrett for her expertise. The results: Round 1: Team: Talieka Burns, Keesha Williams, Shaikaila Reid, Clancy Holmes, Jayden Williams and Bailey Callaghan. In round one of the NSWPSSA Tennis Knockout Mulyan Public School defeated Cowra Public School - 38 games—21 games (6 sets—2 sets)
Canteen News Red Day at the Canteen tomorrow, Thursday, 6th April. Fizzy drinks, mini chocolates, killer pythons, delicious homemade cupcakes and biscuits. Sweet! Sour! Something for everyone Price range from 10c to $2 Food Health and Safety Due to food health and safety concerns the canteen will no longer be able to heat up lunches sent in from home.
