Well done Braydon Hyland, Jayden Williams, Blake Sandry, Cooper Ballard and Matthew Bell. succeed with whatever they do. I asked each of them to write a short piece about one of the speakers or the day itself. On the next page is what they came up with and what they felt about the day. Thankyou Mackenzie, Bailey C, Jessica, Bailey B, Zoe and Kayne. St Patricks Day Disco Tonight is the Annual St Patricks Day Disco for our K 2 students. It will commence at 5.30pm and finish at 7pm sharp. It promises to be a fantastic night with lots of dancing and games for all our students. So get your green on, boys and girls and come and join the fun. Parent/Teacher Interviews In the last two weeks of this term time has been set aside for Parent/Teacher interviews to take place. This is a valuable time for you to discuss your child’s progress with their class teacher. It is also a chance for you to let your child’s teacher know about things that may be impacting on them. Please take the opportunity to be involved in this valuable time by responding to the invitation that will be sent home shortly to arrange appropriate times. John Smith PRINCIPAL

YOUNG LEADERS’ DAY
Imagination - Together We Can We travelled to Sydney on Thursday afternoon for the Leadership Day on Friday. On Thursday night, we all went out for dinner at Darling Harbour which was great for us to be together and have fun while watching a person throw and have fun with fire. The Leadership Day was very informative. The speakers provided us with many points of view and very different attributes that make good leaders. One of the benefits of having speakers from a range of occupations, achievements and both male and female, varying in ages was that I think each one of us found that we could relate to at least one, if not more of the speakers. At the end of each session, we had the opportunity to speak and get photos with the individual speakers. It was certainly a very informative day and I hope that Mulyan continues to encourage the school leaders and parents to attend. (Mackenzie Crook)
LIVIN. After losing his mate to mental illness, Sam made it his business to help those suffering from the disease. He believes “TEAMWORK MAKES THE DREAM WORK” Working together with people is the key to success. The triple P approach of Positivity, Patience and Persistence can help you get through dark times. We should all be encouraged to talk about our feelings. When in doubt, reach out because “IT AIN”T WEAK TO SPEAK”. (Bailey Beale) Jade Hameister In 2016, Jade became the youngest person (age 14) in history to ski to the North Pole. Jade will attempt the “Polar Hat-Trick” which means skiing to the North Pole, South Pole and crossing the Greenland Glacier. She does a lot of triathlon and is now part of the Surf Rescue Team in Lorne. Some of her very inspiring quotes are “to be brave, we must feel fear” and “be brave, not perfect”. (Zoe Browne)
Sam Skinner Sam Skinner is the CEO of the Young Leaders Day.
There are different leadership values by putting others before yourself.
The best advice she can give people is to be the best version of yourself when being a leader.
She also mentioned failure is OK, never be afraid to try.
It has been going for 20 years this year.
She said you always learn from your mistakes.
Imagination - Together we can. (Jessica Hayes) Dr Jordan Nygen Dr Jordan Nygen was very inspiring because of his ideas and dreams and wanting to make a difference in the world. His caring of people with disabilities and other people with different symptoms and problems made him want to make a difference in their lives. I hope Jordan carries on with his dream and keeps making a difference. (Kayne Veney)
Barry Conrad Barry Conrad, the final speaker at Young Leaders’ Day was a very unique and inspirational speaker. The hosts Scott Tweedie and Gemma Knight started by asking Barry piles of questions about leadership. One of Barry’s quotes was “ When you’re yourself, nobody can do better”. He talked about being the best you can, being with others who make you a better person and helping others to be better people. He finished by singing the popular song, “Happy”, which all the kids danced to. He has actually been in the final twelve of X-Factor. So, overall, I would say he was very inspirational and hopefully that will help NSW leaders. (Bailey Callaghan)
Sam Webb I was most inspired be Sam Webb while attending the Young Leaders Day in Sydney. Many may recognise him from the reality TV show, Survivor but he is much bigger than that. Sam is the co-founder of the charity, www.mulyan-p.school@det.nsw.edu.au T:63422531 F:63411254 92-94 Lachlan St, Cowra, 2794
