Term 2, Week 9 Wednesday, 22nd June 2016
Dear Parents I hope that you are not too waterlogged! This week is the second last week of term 2. Over the last couple of weeks the teachers have been very busy assessing students – the work that they have done and compiling half yearly progress reports for all the students. As you can imagine this is a large task that requires a lot of thought and coordination. I have the pleasure of reading all of the reports and I am always impressed by the level of detail that goes into writing them. Our reports not only give an update on how each student has gone but also what they can do to improve their work for the second half of the year. The reports will be sent home with each child on Wednesday, 29th June. If you wish to discuss your child’s report with their teacher please contact the school to arrange an interview time.

Sport Even though the weather has been very wet, some sport still continues. Unfortunately, the boys’ and girls’ soccer matches were cancelled last Friday due to the poor weather. The matches have been rescheduled to be played in early Term 3. Similarly, the girls’ hockey will also be played early in Term 3 Kara Hinderager is in Albury this week with the Western Girls’ Hockey team and she is taking part in the State Carnival against the best hockey players from right across NSW. We wish Kara good luck and we look forward to hearing how she goes. Similarly, six of our boys are in the Western Open Rugby League team that is playing in the State Carnival in Wyong this week. The boys are: Leroy Murray, Charlie Jeffries, Isaac Petty, Tom Negus, Ryan Carroll and Jacob H aeata. We wish the boys good luck and we look forward to hearing how they handled the wet conditions.
