St Raphael’s Catholic School Term 1, Week 2/B Newsletter 5 February 2018
Dear Parents Thank you for the good execution of your part in making our school year begin so smoothly. At the start of a year many questions have to be answered and many details have to be communicated and those processes can seem daunting for a little while – but good people working together will work wonders. The Mass this week that marks the opening of the school year is a celebration of the excitement and anticipation of the new year ahead. You are strongly encouraged to join in with the school family on Wednesday at 9:30am at St Raphael’s Church. 2018 has been marked as a year of consolidation for our school. The growing-pains of recent years have been demanding and it’s time to revisit the many changes and ensure that we have the very best quality, the very best processes to provide the sound learning foundation that our children deserve. An element of revisiting recent changes is the School Review that is being conducted this term. You will be consulted for your input, as will the students and teachers. Diocesan representatives, visiting school representatives and NESA representatives will all be involved in this process throughout February and March. Findings from that review will largely set our agenda for the remainder of the year and beyond. This year we finish the current three year planning cycle and begin another – input from the school review will be incorporated into the new planning cycle to ensure constant improvement and growth. While it may seem that we pepper you with requests for input / opinions, please be assured that it is those ideas and perspectives that shape our school – so, please have your say later this month when surveys open.
