Dear Parents Thank you representative athletes, their families, Mr Thomas, Mr O’Reilly, Miss Downes, Mrs Bennett who enabled our school to perform so well at the Diocesan Athletics competitions in Bathurst last week. Nine St Raphael’s students were selected for the Diocesan representative teams competing at the next level of competition at Newcastle and Sydney. Best wishes to Year 6 in participating in the dedicated Confirmation Retreat day on Wednesday. This is a most important opportunity to make it to work well for the candidates. Then, of course, there is the big event at 6pm on Saturday evening – please attend, pray for and support. Vinnies Winter Appeal directly supports those who are most needy in our community. Food, shelter and security are specifically targeted. Students are invited to help raise funds by participating in tomorrow’s mufti day for the cost of a gold coin donation. Our individual small contribution, when pooled with everyone else’s will become a substantial donation towards the awesome work of Vinnies. The annual ICAS Maths Competition is being held tomorrow for the extension of talented students. The construction work being done on our school site is a very significant project yet students and teachers alike seem to have not missed a beat. Such sensible, focused and cooperative bearing is an absolute pleasure to witness. Thank you for the loyalty and support you give to our St Raphael’s family for the sake of our children – together we can help them to achieve the extraordinary.
I am the living bread that came down from heaven. If you eat this bread, you will live forever. The bread that I will give you is my flesh, which I give so that the world may live. John 6: 51]
