The templates for the leather pieces are produced to fit a particular style and size exactly. Leather cutting requires extreme accuracy and substantial experience. As leather is a natural raw material the right leather for each part of the shoe must therefore be cut from the appropriate parts of the hide.
Then the sole is temporarily fixed in place to the mould with nails. The laced upper is then stretched over the mould and then fastened to the insole. The next step is one of the most important steps during the shoe making process. All steps demand the highest amount of accuracy, because the stitching of the upper and sole is a very tricky process.
After the upper has been beaten into the perfect shape with a few quick but light hammer blows, the leather rests for some time on the last so that the desired shape is maintained permanently. Once this step is completed, the last is removed from the formed shoe and the sole gets its colour. A product of absolute style and elegance has now been crafted from a f high end raw materials.
