Kenny’s unique
musical performances consist of a hint of
bluesy jazz, mixed with the New Orleans street beat and Caribbean rhythms, sautéed in a funky mixture of soulful growl.
Kenny has established himself as a master bluesman in all his travels from the
Florida Keys to Fairbanks, Alaska and all points in between.

Kenny was honored by Baton Rouge Mayor Kip Holden, who proclaimed “Kenny Acosta Day” in honor of Kenny’s Spanish Town Mardi Gras CD
Over the years Kenny "has been lots of places and done lots of things", but you can always count on him to entertain you with professionalism and his charisma.
His soulful
voice and scorching guitar are combined with a tight and funky rhythm
section.
1970s From 1972 – 1979, Kenny Acosta was a main stay in the American Blues scene where he fast became a popular and noted
blues performer.
1980s Kenny released his first solo album Hot Dog in 1984.
Also in 1984, KRVS FM
radio station in Lafayette, LA named Kenny their
most requested Blues musician.
1990s From 1986-1994, Kenny was a regular playing at the New Orleans Jazz
Festival. In 1995, Kenny took some time off to raise his son, Zeke. No
regrets.
