We are asking if anyone would like to donate a bag of candy to the event as it’s expected to see 2,000 children! Also, any members of staff who would like to come out and join are welcome to do so. You can bring information about your programs and/or just have some Halloween fun. If you’d like to donate some candy to the event, please email Justine at jcarroll@ccalbany.org as soon as you can so we can anticipate any buying we will have to do.
Staff Cookie Swap Save the Date! Tuesday, December 6th Sunnyside Center Last month's Staff Picnic at Sunnyside Center was a great time with Kim & Beth being gracious hosts! There was food, prizes and lots of laughs had by all. Thank you to all the staff that joined us. Our next event will be a Holiday Cookie Swap hosted again by Sunnyside Center. Kim Piser is known for her love of baking and is coordinating this years event to be held on Tuesday, December 6th from 12pm‐2pm. All staff are welcome to participate by baking (or buying, for those who aren't so savvy in the kitchen!). More details to come!
Trivia Challenge! September's trivia question was answered correctly by just 5 employees. What year was the Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Albany founded? The answer is 1917. The Diocese will be celebrating it's 100th Anniversary next year. The winner of the $10 gift card is COLIN STEWART! October Trivia Question: Who is the Roarke Center named for? Email your answers to Justine at jcarroll@ccalbany.org by October 31st for your chance to win! One winner will be drawn from all correct entries.
Volunteer Needs Catholic Charities Tri‐County Services has joined the new United Way of the Greater Capital Region's Volunteer Center site. With the new unitedtovolunteer.org website, visitors can sort by date, agency or type of volunteer work they are interested in. We would like to begin posting opportunities for all of our programs, but we need your help! Take some time to think of your volunteer “Wish List”. Would you love someone to come in and take care of all your back filing? Someone to come in and do some mailings? A group to come in and paint? Someone to help you build some shelves? How about people to help load/unload or move items? Email Justine at jcarroll@ccalbany.org with the info below and however many positions you wish to fill. 1. Position/Description of Help Needed 2. How many persons 3. Dates/Times the person can perform the help 4. Location 5. Contact person for the volunteer 6. Any other necessary info
