CDE hosted a workshop on the 7th September 2006 aimed at stimulating the debate on the relationship between BEE and economic growth. It was attended by participants from business, government and civil society and was structured around four questions about BEE:
What are the regulatory and cost implications?
What progress has it made in the manufacturing sector?
What is its impact on small and medium-sized enterprises?
Does it contribute to widening entrepreneurship?
