1.8. Conclusion

As can be seen, there is plenty of innovation in Europe. Many of the companies mentioned on the Start-up ranking lists are known businesses today and many of them have settled well on the market. For their dreams to come true, innovators need stamina, resilience and the ability to build a strong network. Most European countries have a support system which they can rely on when it comes to innovation and entrepreneurship. There is still a difference between the efforts of each country’s governments. The EU also has a support system for their participating countries, however not all the European countries are part of the EU.

Good education and support for innovation and entrepreneurship are very important, especially today as we are immersed in the fourth industrial revolution. Today technology and software are used a lot to make hard work easier, and the role of the human being has increased when it comes to supervising the machines and equipment that do the work that previously was a great effort on the human body. When we look around us we see a lot of new equipment and technology that has, in very few years, become a common part of our everyday lives.

When we look at the big picture, we see that few companies are noticeable over the long term but there is a constant flow of new companies that shoot quickly to the top. Based on the energy and ideas that we have gotten to know through the CDTMOOC project, we are looking forward to fast progress and opportunities for those who have good ideas and passion to follow them through.
