Q. Tell us about your journey and how you got to where you are today?

A.I always had music on my mind as I was growing up. Never thought about making it a profession, always had a love for music so, once I went to the military that led to Intro.

Q. Who are your top five favorite artists of all time?

A. I will say Anita Baker, James Ingram, Gregory Porter, Lalah Hathaway, and 50 Cent.

Q. What is the next major thing Intro has going on in 2022?

A. We have the Intro documentary coming out Intro (Music, Lyrics and Life. The story of Kenny, Jeff and Buddy.), shot by Jason Evans, with Indaflix Films. As well as entertaining releasing unreleased music as NFT’s.

Q. Tell us one of your most memorable moments or accomplishments in your career.

A. One of the most memorable moments would be performing with all the talented artists that I have always looked up to on the American Music Awards for Black Men United. I would also say being able to provide for my family.

Q. What are some of the hardships you faced during your career?

A. During our era there were a lot of shady contracts being written and I would say navigating through the industry and watching out for those that were not there to help and not always being successful. Also, the passing of my brother Kenny. That was heartbreaking.

Q. If you could change anything about the industry, what would it be?

A. It would be that the artist would not be responsible for paying for the promoting and producing of the projects they put out. I feel like that should be the responsibility of the record label.

Q. What do you think contributed to the shift in R&B music in the past ten years?

A. I would say technology. It makes it much easier now to record and promote music now more than back in our era.

Q. Are you currently working on any new projects?

A. Yes, we are writing music for our new artists, as well as tours and working on music of our own.

Q. Where can readers follow you?
