Eagles score first road victory of season in 53-44 win against Titans

By Karina Serio

NORTH EAST - Full of angst after the previous night’s loss against Rising Sun, Bohemia Manor claimed their first road victory of the season with a 53-44 win against Tome School Wednesday night.

The Eagles muscled their way to a 13 point lead in the first quarter. “We brought a lot of angst and bitterness into today’s game. Last night was a hard loss”, said Bohemia Manor Coach Sandy Grimes, “We pressed more in the second half, I like to press but I don't always have the horses that want to press. Winning’s never easy, especially on the road. This is our first road win of the year. We didn't think we’d just come in here and roll them. We have not won a game on the road this year and this was our first.”

The Titans fought back to erase the deficit, but fell short. Herald Beljour drained 14. Sam Booth and Warren Hersh added 8 respectively. For Bohemia Manor, Chris Harris knocked down 11 and Landon Horsey led all scorers with 16.
