Austin Horn made it 15-0 with a pinfall victory at 132 pounds, and Zach Garvin capped off the hot start with a 6-1 decision at 138 pounds to make it 18-9.

The Mustangs won the next four matches to take the lead before Rising Sun’s heavyweights took over.

The win against C.M. Wright represented a bounceback for the Tigers as they fell to Steven Decauter 46-28 earlier in the tri-meet

“We knew we were looking forward to this next match, and it was a big match for us with it being an UCBAC match,” Seth Garvin said. “We told them that, ‘They had to go out and wrestle each individual match like they know how to wrestle. Don’t worry about anybody else’s match.Wrestle your match.’ We didn’t want to give up bonus points. Make the match go the distance if you do lose. It was huge for us because we had a match go to forfeit.”
